I ordered this to avoid the tedium of having to make it myself and save time. This was one disappointment. It didn't colour the cake after having emptied half a bottle into the batter and had to reach out for food colour instead. My bania shop has a much better much cheaper version. I'll stick with my bania.

I use the treacle in my baking place of molasses to get that rich dark taste, smell and colour. Not as good but will do. More reasonably priced too.
