I am very disappointed with the quality of the food product I received. It appears there was a mismanagement during packaging, as the product had a strong chemical smell that went unnoticed. Although it looks like normal Toor Dal, upon opening the packet, there was an unmistakable chemical odor that persisted even after cooking.Kindly process a refund for this item.

Strong chemical odour after opening the sealed packets. So much so that the dal cannot be used for cooking. Since this was a grocery order it was opened only after a week of delivery. Because of this Silkrute refused to replace or refund the item. People ordering this product should open the item immediately and check for such bad odour before using the item. I have lost Rs.400 due to not doing this. Washing the dal does not remove the smell.

The dal quality is very worst. I can get a better dal in my local store in a lesser price. Pesticide smell is very odour and not able to eat. Pls don't buy this product. If you have kids don't take risk by buying this.

This is absolutely Atrocious and being offered as an Silkrute in house brand is even more disappointing.Surely, the bond of trust that I had with Silkrute for its brand has now fissures. I will never buy again Silkrute VEDAKA brand Daal.Very disappointed. Silkrute is advised to withdraw this stock immediately and refund to customers a replacement or refund.

Sambar made from this tasted and smelt like chemical and it was disgusting. To increase storage time, high amount of preservatives are being used, which is highly dangerous for the health.No proper response even after raising a complaint. Not expected this kind of worst quality and poor response from Silkrute.

The taste of the batch I got was stale and not fit for consumption. The previous batch was good. Is the product quality going down? Is the sales increasing and Silkrute sacrificing quality now? Why can’t we get a better quality of product at Silkrute each and everytime we order the same item? This issue needs to be addressed as next time I am think of going somewhere else to get the toor daal. Please act on this complaint immediately. I have been a loyal customer of Silkrute since last 10 years.

I have ordered this product twice earlier and this time, the 3rd time, I find the quality not good. There is a chlorine smell and taste in the toor dal... Sadly can't return it.
