It is >50% coriander powder. The result is it will soak up the oil completely. No matter how much oil you put it will never become like a tadka. It will soak up the full oil and not get roasted to release the flavors. Whenever I have added it to the dal I cannot taste any flavor in the dal. It tastes like coriander powder and little sour. That's all. Absolutely horrible crap this masala!
