This Dal is awesome! It has small grain which is good that also means that the Dal will taste good. I've noticed that the small grain Chana Dal tastes better than bigger one. Now the comparison only comes once you've looked at a lot of dals from various brands. Through the years of cooking and ancestral knowledge this has been the verdict but it could be psychological as well.. hmmmm ???????? anyhow, now the way my brain is conditioned small grains will always taste better.. ????????Nevertheless, Dal is good, cooked in pressure cooker for 20-30 mins and it was perfect. If your gas is super strong then it may take less time.Also I was carrying this overseas and the packing was good to survive that. I have cooked it thrice already and everyone is loving it. ????????
