I don't know if the other reviewers are not familiar with maraschino cherries or what, but these taste perfectly fine for what they are supposed to be. They are a garnish for cocktails, and not really meant to be eaten on their own (unless you love super sweet syrupy cherries). I love these (when used for their intended purpose) and I'm buying them again.
