Colavita is a good pasta. With some prices I have noticed online for pasta which are just ridiculously high, I thought I'd give this a go. Its actually quite good, and I come from Italian background and I am quite picky about my pasta, but this is worth the buy indeed. Its good to get a quality pasta here. Don't hesitate to buy.

Good and al-dente if you cook it right

Brilliant Flavour and maintains its shape. You have to cook it a tad bit longer than the package instructions for it to be Al Dente, but other than that, it’s spectacular. I made some authentic Italian Suga Rosa Fettucine Alla Vodka with this. Turned out amazing!

It's fettuccine, doesn't get any better :D Use a coin size diameter for measuring dry pasta one serving. By that measure, it is enough for around large 8 servings of pasta.Only con is that it take around 15 minutes to al dente, the packaging says around 8 minutes.

We bought three of these pasta of which two when we opened we found that it was all damp, clumped and smelling. It seems a storage problem where the covering must have got a tear or something. Disappointing.

Colavita are great professionals in exporting but sell pasta at exaggerated prices. They have flooded the market with many interesting pasta shapes but keep very high prices even for traditional shapes such as spaghetti, penne and fusilli. And then know that this brand: Colavita has no reputation in the country of origin. Compared to other brands, it is not a known pasta, therefore a sub-brand. Other brands for sale on Silkrute.in definitely offer better value for money. I only give 2 stars even if the pasta is not bad in quality. The reason is : really too expensive in price.What I told you is true, I tell you because I am Italian and I have seen and tasted hundreds of different types of pasta. Colavita to earn more money dedicated himself to exporting to India. Know that Colavita cannot sell its pasta in the Italian national territory like this. Even better pasta than Colavita in Italy cost a third of what Colavita expects you to pay here in India. It does not seem honest to me. In a food product such as pasta, if you think too much about earnings, all the work and sales suffer and are affected as a consequence and get ruined. All this happens to get more and more profit. So : 2 stars only it is right for this pasta.
