It seems to be truly soap-free as it doesn't lather up at all but acts as a gentle cleanser. As my skin is very oily I sometimes need to wash twice to get a squeaky clean feel, but I would definitely buy it again. For people with dry skin it will be a true blessing. While it doesn't particularly prevent acne or skintan, it is not harmful for skin and I think even people with sensitive skin can use it. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the product.
