once in a while you come across a product that is so well built and works well and is reasonable priced, very happy with the quality of the product, have gifted this to other family members.Only suggestion would be to make the scrapper end bit longer so than coconut falls in the plate.Handle part is not made of steel and little rust comes off from inside.

This is a wonderful piece of engineering and works marvelous. The vacuum base holds it very strong and you can scrape coconuts very easily. The teeth are strong and sharp so you get the coconut scrapings easily with no real pressure in your palm holding it against it. Handle also gives a good leverage. You would have to be careful maintaining the base as if it gets damaged, this entire product will become useless.To piggyback off this review, I ordered another one!

Nearly a month up after usage of the product.Pros-1. I have been used to the traditional method of scraping... This is much easier. No doubtCons and scope for improvement-1. The handle and the scraper metal part come separate in the package. The handle needs to be screwed to the metal scraper part. After using 3 times the threading got spoiled... Of course I did not ask for replacement but repaired it myself.2. The height of the instrument is 3-4 inches lower than the requirement. Your knuckles may rub against the surface when you rotate the handle.3. The vacuum base is not that good. It comes off 2-3 times when you scrape the half cocunutThus overall the designing needs slight improvement... I felt that the scraper blades could be placed zig-zag for easier scraping rather than all blades being parellel to each other

The device does what it advertises but the piece I was sent was rather dusty and its packing was nearly falling apart. What was really annoying though was the lack of any instruction on use. There is a little lever at the bottom that logic would suggest has to be manipulated to lock the device but since it's stiff, I didn't want to experiment and void warranty. A very helpful response to a qs on the Amazon page is what helped me figure out what to do. The manufacturer could have included a line on manipulating the lever anti-clockwise to lock it without incurring any extra cost.

It's good but I used it only for a week.The body is plastic not stainless steel as described.Update: have used it for 5 months .. Its still going strong .. No problems at all.

The vacuum is too good. the bales are very good and i have got a cap to cover the blades which is so thoughtful of the company to provide as i had not anticipated nor they have shown in the pic. I loved it. Thankful to Silkrute to promote such good products.
