Pro : Neat and clean lines .Idlis turned out well.Cons : 1. the bottom is made from very thin sheet of steel. Thicker gauge would be more durable1. The knob to hold the plates is made from very sub standard material. Has no head to hold properly. Likely to break or wear out soon .Small things like this defines a company . Expected better quality from pigeon. Right now using the knob from my old plates which is of superior quality and has a good head.

feels like there should be more gap between the plates. also, I don't like the design. the plates get tilted a bit when you put it inside the container for cooking. rest is okay.

Platters are too close to each other, which spoils lower platter idli. Also scoops are little shallow.It seems they cut corners to keep size smaller to save material cost. Ideally it should be 3 platter cooker with more spacing, not 4 platter.

Ordered this considering it is from Pigeon + mostly good reviews. Turned to be a huge disappointment. The steel is really thin, and start cracking and making noises on it's first outing on the stove! The top-most idli plate just rests on the centre screw and goes askew, resulting in 2 plates of idli getting misshapen and screwed up. The black screw to keep the top-most idli plate in place is not at all helpful. Unfortunately, the maid lost it after 3rd use and now we cannot use it at all - as there's no way to really hold and get the idli stand out, especially it's steamed for upto 15 minutes. Add to that, the size of idli is really small.My 2 bits of advice - avoid this and buy some other product. I am searching for another one now *sigh*
