The outer surface had a big scratch, but didn't exchange/return to get rid of unnecessary hassle. Lock could be air tight. Otherwise, it's good for regular use, keep chapattis warm for 2-3 hrs.

I do not like the plastic casseroles, since heat and plastic is a recipe for cancer. I was searching for a stainless steel one and this fits the bill well. It is fully steel, in and out. And it works too. Food stays warms for a few hours.I have still to see how well it works in winter.

I Noticed That There Is A Gap Between The Lid & The Vessel, So There Is A Possibility Of The Sealing Being Open Based On The Sealing - Specification Required. However (If It Is The Case) The Design Can Be Improved, By Either Having The Locking Flange Mechanism In 3 Locations Or Having A Gasket.
