I bought this as replacement for my 25 yrs old slicer/grater. The body looked sturdy. Sits well on the counter. My complaint is that it does not slice a tomato. In fact it cannot. And none of the blades on any of the chipser can handle potatoes. I haven't tried carrots as yet, but my expectations are not high. The blades are not sharp enough to do the job. Frankly speaking I had expected better.
