After every serving they are to be sterilized. Once I sterlized them in sterlizer and the lock stopped working. Even caps are not fitting after that. I used only 1 nipple for around a week. It's good to introduce fruits to infants. Not sure when it would be used again as my bub has started having solid food. Would suggest to buy only 1 set.
